OK. R is my first choice for doing statistics. Primarily because it is free and I can install it in my home computer. But not only for this. R is really a lovely programming language by itself. Besides a huge amount of packages available trough CRAN, R features such things as anonymous functions and is capable of producing nice graphics. So, here I’ll post about R and the things I discover along the way.
OK, So I’ll try to blog about statistics here. Don’t misunderstand me. Despite the fancy title, I’ll post only simple things. No convergence theorems, no characteristic functions, nothing like that. You bet. Ah, one more thing. English is not my mother tongue, so, if you find weird sentences or misuse of words and idiomatic expressions, forgive me in advance.
So, it seems SAS is the tool for people working in real world. My college has some SAS licences and I am trying to learn it. When I have some spare time, I log in into one of these SAS enabled workstations and do a little study by myself. I have not gone too far, by now. But I’ll keep trying. In this category, I’ll post some of my discoveries. They’ll probably make an experienced SAS user laugh, but…
